Claudia & Pepijn, The Orangery, Holland Park, June 2022

The Orangery, Holland Park https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/venues-in-kensington-and-chelsea/orangery-holland-park is a true hidden gem located in one of London’s most beautiful settings, situated within the grounds of Holland Park. This glorious glass and stone palace flooded with natural daylight, once played host to Lord and Lady Holland’s many receptions and to this day boasts elegance and charm.

There is also the beautiful Kyoto Garden in the park. Dutch Park covers 54 acres of grounds that were formerly the property of Cope Castle, a large Jacobean mansion tucked away in the woods. Sir Walter Cope built it in the early 17th century. He became Chancellor of the Exchequer under King James 1.

It was renamed Holland House after the Earl of Holland's wife Lady Rich inherited the property. The Kyoto Garden was planned and created by a famous Japanese gardener and his team. It was created to celebrate the Festival of Japan in London in 1992. It was a joint project of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
